COMPETITION - Name My Gym

ok i am opening a gym in the first 1/3rd of next year 2007

and i need a gym name and logo

I would like the gym name along the lines of the spartan theme or 300

the name needs to be punchy and dynamic as does the logo

the logo will be used on all paper stuff (letterheads and cards), advertising material (newspaper, leaflets, t shirts), i am also planning on it being spray painted onto either the front door or the gym wall

there will be some tv coverage so the logo and name also need to be professional enough to come across well on that medium too

scott will also be designing the web site around it (scott you can/should enter too) as i like the bits you have come up with

cookie you should also enter - of course you will have to give the prize to the second place - if i do choose yours

i like the look of the gym jones web site so there may be some influences there

THE PRIZE

ok the prize will be a weeks training at the new gym here in portugal

you will get one weeks supervised training at the centre

you will either stay as a guest at our home or at an apartment nearby

we will also arrange pick up and drop off at the airport

YOU will have to arrange for flights (cheap enough from most uk city airports to lisbon)


I will be coming to the uk on the 15th of december, so would like to have the name and log by then - so closing date for the competition will be 14th December

not sure re a name but with the logo if we did something i was thinking on the lines that it could be spray/graffities=d on the wall of gym

i rember somewheer seeing thors hammer comming out of a cloud sprayed onto something

so maybe a trojan warrior exploding out of something a shield or from a castle wall or something like that

possibly 2 colour

also something like the clips in the 300 trailers

i just no good at photoshop

cheers bud I aint to graphic artist or nothin, cant draw that well freehand, but I do enjoy arseing around with photoshop!

sam69, if you dont mind using copyrighted images then thats make life easier!! I guess if it becomes an issue you just get an artist to re-draw an 'interpretaion' of it..... thats what I do if I cant get permission to use an image
