because i have a bad knee (some osteo arthrosis) i have problems and pain doing squats of any kind, lunges and leg presses.

At the moment i do some leg presses and have been working on light zercher squats.

I can squat heavier with leg wraps, but it will probably be anti-productive.

What i would like to know is, if i do leg presses to about 1/4 of the way down (its a bit lower than that) will i get any benefit. I will actually go to the point just before the pain starts.

I can do leg extensions, but still get pain just before the last 1/4 of the movement...........so what about partial leg extensions?

i have tried most things....its when it gets to a point that i get pain...really quite un-comfortable too


even on the zerchers with only oly bar and 5kg per side i get the pain.......slow or fast...and TBH its not getting better

What supplements are you using for joint health?

Hows your fluid intake?

How are you for good fats in your diet?

Do you use gelatine?

What fat supplement?

I think you need a little more water, go upto 4litres filtered aday...imo...

:oops: ooooh crap I`m gonna have to stop talking to soo many people :oops:

Right stick to 3 litres and try an old trick of having 1-2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in warm water twice aday...

Never heard of it being used with any other vinegar.......

Question for you.........

When you are using the gelatin how much do you use and do you just add to water and drink or eat the stuff like jelly and how much each day?

Always wanted to try this method myself but didn`t know the ins and outs of it....

I would see about using 2000mg cod liver oil each day 1000mg morning and night...

Can you see if theres any info on other vinegars...otherwise i will wait until someone comes out

gelatine...not 100% sure on the right way

I take i strip melted down and stuck in a cup (mug really) of tea, but only 2 or 3 times per week and i also eat 1 cube of jelly 1 or 2 times per week and occassionaly gelly sweets :grin: (with jello in).......cant take cod liver oil tabs (repeat on me)...fish oil is ok, take 1000mg per day

cant take cod liver oil tabs (repeat on me)


Put them in the fridge to cool down then have them mid meal, this should do the trick....

And I would up the gelatine to everyday and see how that goes...

You need to up your fish oil intake to atleast 6000mgs a day..
