Not such a bad thing overall BUT too many can be a bda thing if used excessively...

The microwaving is to destroy any bacteria that MAY be present in the egg not the avidin...
The avidin interferes with absorbtion of biotin but I`m sure I read somewhere that if your diet was high in B vits (I think it was) then you shouldn`t have much of a problem, plus there is suppose to be plenty of biotin in the egg yolk to compensate for this...
Cholesterol levels...........
Raw eggs used to be fed to burns victims to help them heal quicker...You need cholesterol for a whole host of things from hormone production to helping your body repair itself so plenty og it is needed...The body produced about 40+grms of the stuff a day which is a heck of a lot more than people eat....
The cholesterol and bad heart myth came about after studies done decades ago when eggs were fed to rabitts, well rabitts are veggies so obviously it will bang their bad cholesterol levels up so those syudies are flawed...
Most of the people you`ll see with bad cholesterol levels are usually the ones who eat a lot of cards/sugars with their fats.....
