No & thats what got me, seems like the chest/throat tightens once I start to get near failure but without the stuff it isn`t as intense so soon.

Are you doing weights first or hypoxia first?

Overtrained IMT muscles?
You straining the IMT muscles too much rather than letting them do their job?
IMT muscle pattern out of sync?

******* YES!!!!!******* finally hit 6 sets xxdance

Shaking like a leaf at the end of the last set as I got the piece out of my mouth to get some oxygen in, BUT, that hurdle is now climbed, next shoot for 7..Hopefully..lol..

Burchins 7x20x10 level 3 1x20x10 minus resistance

Finally made it to 7 sets but, made myself still do 1 set to complete the 8 set session without the powerbreathe in & it works. Not as easy as you would expect given the loss of resistance.

All I can say is "ignore this style of training at your peril, because it works" :twisted:

Beast of a day today at work.

One thing I am noticing is the *carry over* effect these are bringing to my working life :grin:

Happened again the choking effect & I think I have cracked the reasoning behind maybe that & my inability to get the full 8 sets with the powerbreathe in.

Decided to test fitness today with 2 bags of sand ( B&Q) on my shoulders/back whilst going up & down the stairs for 4 minutes 10 seconds. Should have been 4 minutes but I can`t count..lol

Final minute of stair walk

Overall did 16 trips, heart rate started at 78 & peaked at 127BPM

Lots of room for improvement overall, lactic in legs was not nices, muscles way way over pumped, lungs on fire & I didn`t get as many trips as I expected.

I did have the pedometer on but it didnt register the steps properly.
