Come back tomorrow when I will give you all a list of some of the books I have found the most influential on my own training history thus far.

Excellent book. Lotsa info and extremely well thought out. But practical and immediately applicable.

How's about givin us a quick tagline and how it influenced yer training/philosophy. That way if it's one we haven't read we'll geta teaser.

I knew someone was going to ask for a write up

I found it very easy to read & understand, quite eye opening aswell A lot of the information contained within I had never ever seen or read about before in my normal reading materials.

The exercises in the book really showed me my arse & how weak I actually was even though I thought I had strong abs.

The turning point came after a period of not squatting then deciding to do some partial squats in a power rack and maxing at over 260kgs with no belt on at a bodyweight of under 70kgs & tbh if I hadn`t have done so many build up sets I could have managed maybe 300kgs

It is definitely the most important book I have read as far as turning my own perspective a full 360 degrees & influencing my own training research so much.

New purchases have been.

Slaying the Dragon by Michael Johnson: Supposably a good inspirational read, especially on the mind aspect of getting ready for your game.

The Autobiography: Colin Jackson, again looking for some insight into athletic training & preparing for races.

Just finished reading

Speed Trap: Charlie Francis about all the furore surrounding Ben Johnson`s down fall at the Seoul Olympics.

Little behind as per normal with my reading, buy then buy something else & forget to read the first one

Still have to read the above 2 autobiographies but have been side tracked with a book that Al suggested called "The Perfect Mile" 30 pages in & it is rather good
