From experience or knowledge is it better to train a specific strongman events day or spread it throughout a training week with other gym moves?

i like to be specific....so main comp events on events day, having said that i will use strongman equipment too in my training

front squats with the log, deadlift holds/shrugs with farmers handles, bench press with log.....but only to bolster a weak event
