Article just read and covers stopping isolation calf and bicep work for strongman. Any thoughts?

great article, agree with direct bicep and calf fork for strongman, ok in off season to correct injuries and imbalances but foir direct strongman we need to train the body synergisticaly

You reckon that holds true when strength training for sports and powerlifting? Off season only

to a degree, i do hammer curls as it has a direct link to the bicep tendons when stone lifting, and may do an occasional set but really dont do very much for biceps as all my grip and back work tires them sufficiently

as for calfs much more whats said in the article unless its asthetics in which case i try and train the Gastorc head of calf as it thickend my scrawny ankles otherwise they get enogh work with heavy farmers and sled drags
