All I can say is to make sure bar is high and on front delts/upper chest. sort like on the clavicles, you can either use a hands crossed across the front on you or the old fashioned way with the hands held if you were holding a weight in the press positon for the clean and press/jerk..keep head up and back flat....

Agree with OneSmartCookie on this one (funnily enough).

For the (disgustingly) flexible people the clean grip works but the rest of us Bane included find it easier with hands crossed infront of the neck.

Bane positions the bar high & tight. The bar rests along just behing the collar bones & across the inside of the front delt tie in, pressing in against the neck. Elbows are held high (above parallel to the ground) with fingers curled slightly over the bar, hands dont grip the bar just steady it in place.

Feet are positioned wider apart than for back squats. Keep the entire body tight & focus on a spot on the wall/mirror at just above eye level when stood up.

The exercise is an uncomfortable one no matter what, it is also a very rewarding one.

Now I`m the other way round..wider stance on back squats to help with my balance...strange..

LOL! Im the same, I find the hands crossed grip 'slightly' less uncomfortable than the clean grip.

when i do zerchers i keep feet quite close together and paralel, so i will try with that foot placement to start and will try the normal grip first as i have to go light because of back anf knee (especially if i go deep - which is the aim)
