H+Blocker

Postby Pete » Fri Jan 05, 2007 2:03 pm

I'm not one to bother with too many supps apart from whey, but occasionally I'll try something new. I just ordered some of the above cos it was on offer with CE-XL by Isatori, along with a tub of Pro quick protein at SNC. Just wondered if anyone had used it, or the CE-XL?....Fits?

Cheers......

Off top of my head it just looks like another ego supplement....

H+Blocker, a new science in muscular performance is the world's first carnosine synthesizer/muscle intensifier.” During intense exercise, the release of hydrogen ions are accelerated in the muscle; followed by a simultaneous decrease in pH levels, (a process called “metabolic acidosis”), which is directly associated with muscle fatigue, weakness and ultimate physical exhaustion. This increase in H+ and decreased pH slows both the production of ATP our bodies natural source of energy and inhibits the actual process of contraction with the muscle.

I`ve heard of old timers just using bicarb to reduce acid levels...

I always thought that getting to fatigue was the whole point and going beyond that point was/is a waste of time and screws with the bodies recovery abilities and plays havoc with your CNS....

All I can see if a product being churned out to boost peoples egos and actually ruin their long term gaining abilities.....

Defo want to hear Taks views on this one

Looks like Horseshit to me.

Pete you may have lost a couple of quid but don't worry about it.

I won't go off on one of my science based tangents now but there are so

many things wrong with it.

You can combat many of the things that they state H+ Blocker does by

simple training methods.

Mate, use your money for good solid food, if you want to add protein supplements in the form of a whey product you can, don`t pay a fortune for it either, as Cookie knows I distribute for Biohazard, I`ll give you a good discount if you want some whey, apart from that stick to good clean solid foods, diet and consistancy is the way, some of the products are just crap, however in saying that if you have good results then post them up, there may, just may be a supplement that works amoungst all the hype

Cheers for the replies folks and thanks for the offer Sanga. I'm not too worried about losing a bit of money, it was a pretty good offer, the whey was cheap and I got CEE which might be worth a try. I read a good review of the H+blocker somewhere and as i saw it cheap i took a bit of a gamble. i'll keep you posted anyway. I'm certainly not expecting much, I've never tried a sup that actually does much if anything. (apart from pretein supps)
