As far as muscle building is concerned, isn't it best to have a faster one throughout the day, but try to slow it down during sleep so your muscle isn't broken down?

I'm calling it doesn't matter.

As long as you know which one you have and manage it appropriately.

Does a faster metabolism also mean you spend more time closer to homeostatis, which is obviously good.

without looking into this what so ever, my complete guess is that a faster metabolism can burn more food, therefore more protein and all those good things getting into the muscles quicker, so if you train your muscles in any way, be it endurance, size, strength, then a faster one would be better.

again, that is just how i presume it works, id actually be interested in the "right" answer if there is one

I have to go with the safe answer of finding what works for you individually. I mean, your body is made to work a certain way. You have to learn (or re-learn, as the case may be) to eat those foods that your body is telling you that you need.

When you give your body the food and the work that it needs, your body runs the way it is supposed to.

Too fast a metabolism, and your body could start working against itself if you don't give it enough of what it needs. Too slow, and you end up looking like an elephant that raided an ice cream shop.

I was under the impression that for a lean muscle type goal then you want your metabolism fast. is that not the idea behind the several smaller meals per day theory rather than large infrequent meals. your body can only process so much at a time?

Fast! Faster means more protein synthasis and fat burning. yes people with way too fast a matabolism can end up in a state of catabolism but if your thowing lots of food down you with a healthy amount of protein you should build muscle,

This is why we eat small regular meals, also why the the diatia works well as, with its herbs and spices you get that extra boost to your matabolism. It's also why some people say a small amount of T3 is good 12.mcg can be good to help muscle building.

Thats my opinion, it could be waaaaay wrong but then that would be nothing new lol
