Fad Diets

Postby HairyGaul » Tue Jan 22, 2008 6:47 pm

We all come across these diets but has anybody ever tried to follow one? Every time I see one I just say 'oh that's interesting' or 'that's a load of crap' but I've never actually tried to follow one.

So, I'm curious, has anyone here really tried to follow the regimes? The Zone? Paleolithic? Raw Food? I don't care which I was just wondering if you tried it, what made you go for it, did it work, are you still on it... that sort of thing.

Forgot to mention living off rice cakes and amino acids for a few days before a show and my all time indulgence fav of a couple of weeks eating simply raw eggs mixed with protein powder and double cream

I remember you talking me into eating that! wasnt nearly as bad as it sounded! infact I was thinking about including it again but its far too calorific for my current 'approach'.

Makes a great after dinner treat or pudding..

Just have tiny amounts instead of ice cream and such like desserts ;-)

LOL! I dont have such things like ice cream or desserts. might see if I can work a small amount in as a meal though.

speaking of ice cream that I cant have  I was looking at that 'skinny cow' brand in tescos, only 102cals per 100ml so half a tub's gonna be about 250 cals! not bad for a cheat meal! might buy a tub on saturday
