how do you get you initial level of carbs?
if I went for 1g of protein per lb of lean weight as my baseline protein level what would be may baseline carb level (or fat for that matter)?

Ive read a bunch of articles and a lot of them seem to leave that part out. its ok to say 'high carb' or 'low carb' but its only high or low when you know what a normal carb day is.

some state 1.5g carb per lb. does that sound right? that would be more than I normally eat.

anyone here done this type of thing and can offer an 'idiots' guide ;-)

Scott is there a pdf in that section on the "the bodyopus" diet.

Thats a good read and a clear playout of what 1 guy did and achieved on that diet.

If I think on I "may" send you up the book to read

thanks, I'll have a read through.

been looking over a t-nation article on carb cycling. I hate doing this but Ive done all the number crunching and following thier method heres where Im at:

moderate - 2322cals:
225 carbs - 900cals
180 protein - 720cals
78 fat -702cals

high - 3446 cals:
carbs 506 - 2024 cals
protein 180 - 720cals
fat 78 - 702cals

low - 1650cals:
carb - 57 - 228cals
protein - 180 - 720cals
fat - 78 - 702cals

monday - high
tuesday - low
wed - mod
thurs - low
fri - high
sat - low
sun - low

the fat seems high but I dunno. also I'd prefer to get a high carb day on a saturday but following the article they are supposed to fall on training days (2 high and the 1 moderate are training days).

how does that look? shite? ;-)
