Making weight

Postby Al » Fri Feb 22, 2008 12:20 pm

I weigh about 10st 7according to my scales. I'd really like to get down to 10st 2 for my Dinnie Stone lift later this year. That would make me the lightest person so far to lift the stones so it's not an opportunity to be missed; I may not get another chance. Sounds easy? I'm not that experienced with dieting and there's not much to play with. I've got 5 lbs of fat hanging about but I'd be pretty ripped if I got rid of it. I'm not looking to stay at that weight, just hit it long enough to do the lift and then go back up to a more natural bodyweight in fact I'd like to try and get a bit heavier as an experiment. I think that's where the problem may lie. My body has settled at a fairly lean (12% when last measured) weight for about 20 years now and those last few pounds are a bit "precious" for it to let go. Any tips guys? Diet is OK at the moment.

Carb cycling leading upto your Dinnie attempt which will help to reduce some fat plus water weight aswell..

You may also need to do some cardio to help with fat storage being burnt off..

I like it!! makes me sound not only tough and mean but also a bit of a demon with the chicks

I actually put the carb cycling on the back burner in favour of a simpler low carb approach basically based around the t-dawg diet.

I couldnt think of a witty comeback at all so was just gonna type 'get it up ya!' but thats way better!!

are you gonna go for the carb cycling dealie? I read some stuff and done some sums and it looked a bit 'precise'. Im sure there must be a simplier way to to do it though.

I'll have a look at it. I hate counting calories, it just makes me hungry. Maybe I could book one of those colonic irregulation things and lose 5lbs that way. It'll bring back memories of my 7th birthday
