Help me fathom a Gironda Style Diet

Postby TH&S » Sat Jun 28, 2008 8:07 pm

I fancy trying a Gironda style diet.

I've been reading a load of bits on IronGuru.com and fancy giving it a go for 3/4 weeks.

Does anyone have an example they can post up?

Bits I want to add in:

Vit C:
Breakfast: Either 3g Vit C or 1/2 a Grapefruit to blunt cortisol
PWO: 1.5g Vit C

Fish Oils:
35g per day. 5x 7g.

ZMA:
Well DIY ZMA. Training nights only.

Brewers Yeast
6 tabs per day?

Aims are fat loss and new PBs.

I'd also be keen to try *just* eating 4x per day which I'm sure is in one of his diets.

Vinces most populat cutting diet

The Maximum Definition Diet

There has always been considerable mystery and misconception concerning a diet that promotes muscle definition. For the most part, all carbohydrates must be removed from your menu. The only milk products that can be used are butter and cream. Meat, fish and eggs are the only foods permissible. You must, however, eat a high-carbohydrate meal every four or five days (i.e., pasta, potato, grain, fruit); otherwise your muscles will smooth out and your strength will decrease.

When dieting to lose fat, the use of lipotropic or fat-burning agents are helpful. They don't perform miracles, but they do speed up results. The main lipotropics are the B vitamins choline and inositol, which aid in the production of lecithin, enabling the liver and gall bladder to metabolize fats more readily and efficiently. I recommend that 250-1000 mg be taken with meals.

Other lipotropics that should be taken are the amino acid methionine, betaine hydrochloric acid, liver and yeast tablets, B complex, kelp, alfalfa, Vitamin C, tri-germ, wheat germ, and fish oils.

Breakfast
Eggs (no limit)
Meat (any kind, no limit)

Supplements
1 multi-vitamin tablet
1 Vitamin B complex
1 Vitamin C tablet
1 Vitamin E capsule
1 chelated mineral tablet
1 alfalfa tablet
10 kelp tablets
3 tri-germ and wheat germ oil capsules
3 halibut oil capsules
3 HCL tablets (before meal)
3 digestive enzyme tablets (after meal)
3 lipotropic tablets (250-100 mg choline, inositol, methionine)
10 calcium tablets
1 RNA-DNA tablet
1 niacin tablet
1 oz liquid beef amino acid
3 lysine tablets
3 multi-glandular tablets

Lunch
Same as breakfast

Supplements
1 iron tablet
(same supplements as breakfast with the omission of Vitamin E, tri-germ, wheat germ, and halibut oil capsules.)

Dinner
Same as lunch
*Supplements same as lunch

Special Supplements
10 amino-acid and desiccated liver tablets (every 3 hours)
1 Vitamin C (300mg) plus 5 calcium tablets (every 3 hours)
4 raw orchic-tissue tablets (before bed and after workouts)
5-10 grams of arginine, ornithine (before retiring on an empty stomach)
3-5 grams of trytophan plus 10 calcium tablets (before retiring on an empty stomach)

The above diet works so well for defining muscles because fats are used as a source of fuel for the body. Since it is difficult for the body to convert fat into energy, this results in a loss off your existing body fat. Finally, I recommend that you take a layoff of 3-5 days from all supplements every third week, while abstaining from them one day each week. Also, remember to have a high-carbohydrate meal with no protein every third or fourth day to replenish glycogen to your muscles.

Too mnay pills

Was hard to adjust to at first and probably used a little too much cream at times to mix in with protein powder to make a dessert/snack.

The carb up meal was great, you really could feel the muscles plump back up after the carbs had hit the system.

Only ran it for about 4-6 weeks as I was getting a little bored on it.

That sounds magic.

My only concern is being able to just eat 3 meals per day?

Simple answer

Eat big ones

TBH you`ll find that plenty of fats kill the appetite, plus use some form of apple fibre supplement in water to add some roughage and keep you regular.

Still need to get another diet out of a book for you.

The hawaian(sp) diet is a little easier as its just any form of protein eaten with pineapple or papaya each meal. The idea was that the P or P aided digestion and fat loss.
