cherry active v Bluberries

Postby samurai69 » Thu Oct 21, 2010 2:22 pm

right, all the MMA guys are raving abut cherry active for recovery, i believs this is because of the antioxidants etc in the fruit, but bluberries also have the same or very similar antioxidant content

i eat 125g of bluberries per day.............weekdays anyway, plus a glass or tow of red wine, also high in the same/similar anti oxidants

so what better......the natural food or the cherry active

Quite sure the Japanese recommend 12-17 servings per day.

There was something somewhere recently saying not to use antioxidants post workout as it hindered recovery because the body needed its own internal markers & anti inflammatory fighters to do the job themselves.

Let the body do it itself rather than add in extra antioxidants to clear too quickly.

There's been bits & bats banded around about cherry juice helping to aid sleep patterns.

I might give a bottle a go just to see if anything happens.
