Eating on the go

Postby Cookie » Thu Mar 08, 2012 1:42 pm

Been looking into this a lot lately as sandwiches and such like at work gets very boring & I don't want to continually rely on protein shakes. After over 20 years of using them have to say I'm sick to death of them. Much prefer real food.

Found these two alternatives so far

Hot Can

Bite Me

Got to be more out there along these lines & much healthier than Pot Noodles.

Seen them before, its the price that puts me off because just for work its pushing £20 if I have one a day.

Something similar but again expensive

cant you make that sort of stuff yourself?

the hot can stuff looks like processed garbage. I wouldnt touch that. I go to work with porridge and raisins, chicken + veg, steak casserole etc.

Sometimes, I'd need to find a decent food container to keep it warm but sometimes making it yourself can become more expensive than buying something pre made.

I usually take a decent second breakfast to work its the meal I need whilst out of the office which is the main issue. Protein shakes just don't do it anymore & there are only so many sandwiches you can eat. That's why I liked the look of those BiteMe pot noodle type meals. Just take a flask of hot water out & then add it to the pot whilst I'm doing a bit then come back & eat it.

Something to get my head around & sort out.

Looking at some food jars/flasks & bento bins as a way to store food for outside eating.
