My problem is gettin to sleep, I have to wake up a few times with the mrs for various thing, but if I could get to sleep quick may be good.

Getting a hot bath about an hour before bed. Then allowing the body to cool down naturally as you unwind for bed. Its the cooling effect that induces sleep.

Limiting tv, computer etc an hour or two before bed & maybe just doing some reading but nothing too thought provoking.

The magnesium oil is pretty good & lasts quite a long time.

Lavender oil on pillow is a good old standby.

ZMA works quite well but I get crazy dreams off it.

Epsom salt baths work well as long as they aren't used too frequently. Combination of the magnesium & the heat from the very hot bath work well together. Lavender oil can be added to the bath water.

You might also consider eating a stick or two of celery before bed. This helps with sleep.

st johns wort will help with the mind racing.

Cookie just out of curiousity what are your body temperatures before bed and upon waking?
For some reason mine are super low and I am trying to find a correlation between that and my odd fatigue that has been plaguing me for a while now.

Lil John, agree St John's Wort might be worth a go as well as 5 HTP.

Never measured it. All I can say is that I always take a hot bath before bed then as my temperature drops I get sleepy. Wife would say I run hot temperature wise when I sleep. Haven't noticed being cold when waking unless there's been a dramatic drop in outside temperature or the covers have fallen off.

For the fatigue (I was going to mention this to you Lil John as well) increase your B vitamins. Energy conversion but they also help feed the nervous system.

Not used them myself as a single tablet usually just in a ZMA mix.

Tried the whole spectrum of B even some industrial B-12 ;-) did not seem to help.

Temperature, I was referring to actual body temperature using a thermostat, I am seldom cold but my waking body temp is stuck in the 96.5-96.8 range and usually when I hit the sack it is 97 or less. Just seems odd. During the day it does tend to hover around the 98.1 mark give or take, but especially in the mornings it tends to stay low.

The above "yeast" products I mentioned above don't contain the full B spectrum. Just what's needed to do the job I want them for.

I've never taken my temperature but you've got me thinking :-k
