yeh pretty much, eggs are the perfect blend of aminos, but other sources of protein break down and are absorbod more or less the same way at roughly the same speeds.... even whey and casien are absorbed at different rates but its not as massive as its made out to be

Adding to this bit. Years ago I saw it recommended that if you were eating other sources of protein it was advised that you add a single egg to the meal to help balance out the whole amino acid profile of the meal.

My own reading has "optimum" protein intake at 30 grams per meal.

Is that based on your LEAN body mass or what you just weigh?

2.5g on total bw for strength athletes works out about 285g I think

I would be working it out for lean body mass.

Coming back to this

As money is tight up to Christmas, I've figured out the cheapest way of protein is probably eggs and milk not tuna prices are going up to nearly a quid a tin. What it means is substituting my afternoon veg and tuna with another few eggs so be 6-8 a day. And 2-3 pints of milk.

Be intresting if that's ok or how I feel
