Here's the thing

I don't have carbs or food post training I struggle for rest of day

I eat carbs and food the muscle fatigue goes down, I am able to operate more etc

Its a tough one isn't it?

I've noticed that if I just have a shake (700+ cals) after training my legs are still fatigued/heavy the next day. If I follow the shake with a solid meal there is a bit difference.

Getting the balance between carb & protein intake is key. Some will require more of one than the other depending on the rest of their meals and daily activities.
