Thought I might get a comment like that

Had a beast of a blender but glass jug broke and Brevile said they had discontinued that model

Why I`ll never know as it was a real heavy duty system and worked a treat.

When I was looking at hand blenders a wee woman came up and gave me advice. She recommended going for the bigger ones (bigger motor) as she had burnt out several smaller ones in the past. Mine is 700W one, stainless steel and is mighty powerful.

Currently on our 3rd or 4th washing machine, last one the guy said he had never seen one with the bearings so disintigrated, he had just fixed one that was 25 years old and it was in better nick than ours. Always said she should get a job testing household modcons to destruction to see if they pass the tests
