Scott wrote:misinterpretation of their calendar by some new age twat. Apart from the whole 'predicting the future' thing, The mayans didnt have one calendar they had lots. Their calendars interlocked so when one age ended another began. Their long count calendar ends on that date but another begins, they were all about cycles.
They used to sacrifice people to make it rain as well but you dont see many people going on about how clever they were on that score!
Im sure we will manage to blow up or destroy the world at some point though.
The Mayans were pure mental and we would have had more information about them if that catholic priest hadnt destroyed all the written texts from them but I suppose thats what they get for not following the same relgion as him.
Im such a geek for ancient shit like this mayans, Incas...... whatever, all that stuff is awesome.

Although I would have to take my hat off to the Mayans IF they did call this one. Of course that is only if I have long enough to take it off before I go poof!
I think Scott has this one called right, but I suppose we won't know for sure for another 22 months?
Scott wrote:not read that. I like the Inca stuff as well.

Almost like they would be lost if they didnt have this apocolypse hanging over their shoulder!
Just makes me think of a certain Iron Maiden song
