It can. It would depend on how its used. Being a beta 2 antagonist it increases adrenaline & opens up the airways because its used as an asthmatic medication. The fat burning comes from some other pathway based around its ability to hit the brown fat cell which are hard to shift.

A number of cyclists have been caught using it last couple of years so even though it is tested for its still being used because of its ability to increase performance or reduce body fat levels..IMHO.

Easiest thing for these well paid sports athletes to do would be to consume only organic meats & fish. That way there would be very little chance of them getting false negatives in drug tests from eating contaminated meat.
