Geranium/1,3 dem in supplement form.

In this article it names USPLabs Oxylite Pro as the culprit supplement.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/rugby/rug ... -23667385/

And there continues to be "rumours" on the forums that its going to get banned over here in the UK next year.

I'll need to get some ;-)

seems a tad harsh to bet talking about a lengthy ban for something like that. I can kinda see where they are coming from but if the effects are in the ballpark of jack3d then its a bit unfair to be labelled a drug cheat.

on the other hand what athlete doesnt know that those types of supplements are gonna be on the banned list  he's not really that uninformed surely.

I'm unsure how long the 3 versions of the culprit substance have been on the banned list but there were reports about Jamaican sprinters getting caught with it in their systems earlier in the year, late last year. And it is very effect at giving the CNS a right kick up the backside so if someone was on it and someone else was not then there would be a big advantage. TBH it all needs sorting out because when you see some of these banned lists its mind blowing the amount of things they can test positive for & its about time they made it so that if its banned then it should not be available to buy in an over the counter "natural" supplement. Or as with alcohol & cigarettes the dangers of being tested positive are made much more visible on the packaging.

From reading those articles it would seem that he had an idea he shouldn't be using it & lied about it all which made the whole thing even worse.

I saw on one forum (need to remember which)that one poster who did play rugby at a high level had posted up he'd seen a list from a pro club which gave full details of all banned substances & the clearance times for those substances use for on/in season use.

This brings further weight to a conversation I had many years ago with someone who'd spoken to a coach who told him the very same thing regarding drug use within the game.

Seems to be the talking point on the news this morning.

Scottish independence.

Yes or No?

Thoughts.

I wondered if Scotland could survive long term financially.

Revenue wise I would have thought its biggest earners would be;

Tourism
Whiskey exports
Oil

oil is big at the moment but I beleive they have plans to succeed the oil with a renewable energy industry. They're not planning on oil being the answer.

I had heard there was a move to increase renewable energy but I didn't know to what extent.

Doesn't Scotland have a huge hydro electric dam?

I think its quite a major part of their plans as is technology ( we've made some decent video games anyways! ). There's a damn up at pitlochry, not far from where you guys were lifting stones.

Im sure the idea is sound enough in theory, unfortunately it involves politicians and they always screw people over regardless.
I dont know enough about the whole thing to care tbh. I do my best to avoid politics. I like being Scottish but I also like being British.......... I also like to complain about you English and I dont think that would be as much fun with independence
