Why should we be skinny

Postby lil john » Tue Apr 30, 2013 11:14 am

Why are we expected to be slim or skinny. Does it mean your healthy. Recently there seems to have been so much about the fact we need to loose all our fat at the hospitals doctors and general life. To me it would be awful. I shudder when I think I would look small. Is it only me? Sure I wouldn't mind as much if I had massive and I mean massive muscle mass but without PED's I doubt that will ever happen. But surely we don't need to be skinny. Is it really that bad to have size? We're still being active not slobs.

It would all depend on the term "skinny".

There are medical benefits to having lower body fat percentages BUT an individual still needs to have a decent amount of active muscle tissue to function healthily. Just look at a lot of the rich & famous, they are "slim/skinny" but to such a degree that because of a lack of muscle tissue they look flat, flabby & down right non-functional.
