Hamstrings/ rdl

Postby lil john » Tue Jan 06, 2015 9:33 am

Curious your views on this

An American coach I quite like posted a vid of one of his lifters doing RDLs

He stated with this that rdl's are one of his most I portent assistance lifts with squats. He said how he wants people to aim for 5 reps of there max squat as to many people have weak hams.

Thoughts?

For a sport athlete I can imagine strong hamstrings are needed. And for atrength athlete to.
I do think it's often overlooked and for me I know my hamstrings are probably piss weak.

I once saw a percentage somewhere that said how strong your hamstrings should be to your quads. Can't remember the numbers.

People do neglect hamstrings but also a lack of glute control and strength can hinder a lot of other areas working to capacity.

We could all do with a strong posterior chain as a whole.

Yep. I fell into the trap of crashing after work for a few hours and I'm paying the price with piss poor glute activation and tight hips.
