oats in protein shakes

when puttin oats in a shake should you cook them first or does it not make a differenceiwas told that if they are uncooked its not very good for the somach and wot not :???:

As far as I know they aint cooked, usually blended right down to make them more powdery.

something I do a fair bit. like cookie says, just uncooked and blended. Ive found that adding a small banana into the mix really helps 'bind' the oats, without the banana the oats tend to settle at the bottom of the shake quite quickly but the banana seems to prevent this a fair bit.

yeah i noticed the 'binding' from strawberries aswell when using cereals and muesli in shakes
much better than having thick sludge at the bottom
i tried weetabix once...... wasnt such a good idea as i thought let me tell ya :???: lol
