It is nice that science is starting to recognise these things more & put the information out there for the general public. I remember watching a program in the mid 80`s about an American study (military I think) that had a guy on the bare minimum calories required for him to function each day, they took regular blood tests to track cellular damage, metabolic age & so on, end result, he was fitter & metabolically younger than those around him. The study was supposed to run for about 10-20 years but I have never come across anything else written about it.
Aubrey De Grey (Gray) is supposed to be a leading expert in the field of reduced calorie diets for those into life extension.
Interesting. I saw a programme before about this. A women ate fuck all every day, looked like a skellaton and she hopped to live to be over 100! what the fuck for when you live like that????
There is no doubt eating the wrong things and too much of anything will do you harm, make your body and organs over work, out put lots of insulin which is not good. But living like that??? whats the point in living.
I might have seen that one, remember reading that the body has the ability to live to 140 BUT it is programmed to self destruct & is not capable of living much beyond that, even my own GP says that we all have the potential to reach 100 in good shape is we are a little more frugal with food & excesses in our younger years.
