just wondering if anybody can help me out please
i am looking at buying some good weightlifting shoes in the near future, but i am not sure what i should be looking for in a shoe. I have looked about at a few different makes on the net but its hard trying to pick a pair without being able to try them on and have a go
any recommendations
any thing i should be looking for or trying to avoid?
cheers
Ring Pullum Sports. I have heard people say they are overpriced but I have never purchased anything from them that I have had issue with which is more than can be said for many of the other companies I've acquired kit from. I have a pair of Polish lifting boots that were originally from there, there about ten years old now and still going (albeit they're looking a bit tatty).
Anyway I found from previous experience that they were happy to talk and advise over the phone, the website is also very comprehensive.
http://www.pullum-sports.co.uk/clothing-and-shoes/shoes/cat_32.htmlI'd probably opt for there own brand (the Ironlifter) or the Do Win if I were you, I think the Adidas shoe - you're paying for the name rather than any great advance in performance.
Essentially though what you want is a flat sole with a wooden heel for stability, tarsal straps are always a bonus, velcro ones are less fiddly and less likely to break than buckles.
